Building The Intent Engine

My goal is to build The World’s Leading AI platform in the form of an Intent Engine.  The product is customizable AI for everyone. Create your own bot, customize it, have it do things for you and respond to the device you’re on whether it’s your phone, tablet, laptop, work PC, etc. It’s a safe environment where you choose what to share and what to protect.  You can build custom actions for your bot and freely share them or sell them in our marketplace for use by other people’s bots.

The idea has been cultivating for well over a year now. Some work was done in 2017 and the first half of 2018 before I went full throttle on my CCNA blog.  That was just something I needed to get done and I’ve learned that focusing on one project at a time until completion is much better than multiple ongoing projects.  Now that the CCNA blog is completed I can focus all of my time on The Intent Engine.

The steps to achieve this goal can be simplified as follows:

  1. NLU Intent
  2. Bot
  3. Input
  4. Output
  5. Bot customization
  6. Custom actions
  7. Marketplace
  8. Seamless device connectivity and transition

The posts on this blog tagged with intent-engine will detail my progress in creating the world’s first Intent Engine.  They will cover everything from the software development hurdles to the steps in forming and maintaining a company.  I know I will run into issues along the way and this blog serves as a platform to document those roadblocks and the methods used to overcome them.  I’ve been thinking about and documenting my ideas personally for a few years now. Especially those about the Intent Engine.  But even more so the ideas of producers vs consumers, building a market as the means to success, and establishing your own core values to live by.  More to come on all of these fronts as I build the Intent Engine.
